Eastlink Update
On Wednesday October 30th, a 3rd party line (Axia) that services Redwood Meadows for Eastlink was broken. The break occurred by Three Hills Alberta earlier in October and the repair that was completed at the time was ineffective and broke a second time. The line has been repaired and an electronic board was replaced by Eastlink, at the Eastlink shed located in Redwood Meadows. The system was up and running on Thursday October 31st.
Effective Immediately: We are asking all residents to limit water usage to essential water usage ONLY. Due to work at the water treatment facility on our water intake from the river, our reservoir levels are extremely low. Water quality is not affected . We expect this interruption to last one (1) week. We will provide another update when more information is available. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Update -4:20pm Crews have been working all day and were able to get one of the two pumps at the plant operational. They have reduced water pressure to 30 PSI. We ask that residents continue to reduce your water usage until we are able to get the required parts for the second pump. Once the second pump is operational, we will be able to rebuild the water volume in the reserve tank. Please put off laundry and any other non essential water use. We will update again(tomorrow) when we have more news to share. As always please let your neighbours know, and encourage them to sign up to the "Updater" Thank you for your understanding.
UPDATE- 11:28am July 29, 2025 Our water Treatment plant can NOT keep up with the current water usage. Residents are asked to stop all water usage, until we are able to get the pumps operational. Please share this information with your neighbours.
Water Treatment Plant 9:15 am Tuesday July 29, 2025 Townsite has been notified the pumps at the water treatment plant have failed. This means that we are unable to draw water from the river at the moment and we are operating on the reserve tank. Residents are asked to please conserve water until further notice.
