Thank you everyone for your patience with this temporary boil water advisory. As a reminder, there is potable water available on site at Redwood House for filling your own containers. We are in touch with the Aquatech plant operators regularly and they are monitoring the turbidity levels constantly. The water is settling down a bit and updated numbers have been sent to Health Canada. We are cautiously optimistic that the water quality is slowly improving but will not lift the advisory until we are confident that the testing is consistently within safe levels. We will continue to monitor and share updates with you as they are available.
Your patience is much appreciated. REMINDER: sump pumps must be drained to the outside rather than the sanitary sewer system as the extra burden on our systems is impacting our operations.
Council is actively working on solutions for our water and wastewater treatment systems to reduce the need for future boil water advisories.
