Community Volunteer Opportunities
There is a great tradition of volunteerism here in Redwood. Community volunteers keep Redwood hopping with activity but fresh ideas, new faces and helping hands are always in need. Meet like-minded people, enrich the community with your special skills or learn new skills! It’s your home – take pride in our beautiful community and help keep it vibrant and fun for you and your family!
Below are just some of the opportunities waiting for you …

Redwood Meadows Sustainability Committee
Join a growing movement of like-minded residents interested in implementing the foundations of sustainability in our community. This new committee is dedicated to the balancing of environmental, social and economic needs of our residents, with a vision of lessening our impact on the Earth, enhancing our social connections with those around us and finding ways to live happily and healthfully in our community. We are looking for individuals who are interested in the following projects:
- Green community certification
- Promoting chemical-free public green spaces and yard care
- Enhancing and protecting our relationship with local wildlife
- Organizing special events such as Earth Day, Earth Hour and a summer River celebration.
- Expanding our existing bulk-buying club
- Initiating carpooling / carshare arrangements
If you are interested in any of the above or have ideas of your own to share, please contact Shana@barbourwelsh.com
Redwood House Library
We are looking for one or two individuals to help set up and run the Library in Redwood House. The Library is currently full of books and ready to be used but just needs to be freshened up with some new stock. If you love books and reading to children, this is a great little get-away in the heart of the Community – we just need someone in there to get it organized a little bit.

Spring Sports Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Helpers
The 2011 RMCA Sports season is approaching and as always we are looking to our community members to help keep our great soccer and baseball programs a success as they do year after year. It’s never too early to volunteer – the sooner we have coaches lined up, the faster we can get organized for the upcoming season. Contact rmcasports@gmail.com.
